Negros in 2 Days
Negros is very close to my heart. My Dad was born and raised there. I go back and forth from Iloilo to Negros Island every Christmas Holidays to see my Dad’s family.
And so, I decided to share with you our itinerary for two days as I tour Kei (being the person who hasn’t been to Negros).
From Iloilo, we took a one hour fast craft ride from Iloilo Port to Bacolod (BREDCO) . Here are the schedules and rates for each fast crafts 🙂
We booked our accommodation through AIRBNB. Try this LINK to get a discount on your first trip! You’re welcome 🙂 We stayed in a cozy and private place around Lacson. Here’s a link for you 🙂 Go check it out. The customer service is really nice. Jet is the best.!
From our BNB , we took a taxi to Lopues EAST/ Caltex EAST. Head on to i-mart where the incharge of passengers list are waiting. Register your names and wait for your service. We took the Campuestohan Shuttle Bus for 60php which will take us to the resort for about 40 mins. Same goes when we head back to our BNB 🙂
Aside from the amazing architecture of this magical place, the story of Don Mariano and his wife Maria touched me the most. The place is not just about having that photo with a beautiful background . Rather, it is an example of what a man can do for love and his family. Listen to the tour guides and you will never see THE RUINS the same way before you took that photo 🙂
DAY 2 : LAKAWON ISLAND
From our BNB, we head to NORTH BUS TERMINAL and took a bus going to CADIZ CITY. Travel time is around an hour and a half. Just tell the driver to drop you off to Burgos Public Market or MARTISAN CROSSING. From there, we took a tricycle to Cadiz Viejo port(Lakawon Port).
After we register and paid fees, we were provided by a cash card to deposit cash for any purchases on the island. YOU DON’T USE CASH IN LAKAWON ISLAND.
We also went to their famous Tawhai Floating Bar 🙂
Sometimes , you have to unwind, recharge and refresh your system. Get away with someone you love and escape the noisy busy city. There’s still more beautiful places to discover around Negros Island. And I’m more than willing to experience it. With YOU, off course!!
Thank you for the visit. Hope this will help you somehow. 🙂
